AN ONLINE PRESENCE AS AN ARTIST
Right now, I mostly struggle with knowing where to start when it comes to making comics. Since starting at WdKA, I have developed the (bad) habit of making fast singular illustration/comic strips.

I basically want to learn how to "SLOW DOWN" my process by diversifying my work flow.
I want to use the internship as a way to relearn how to develop ideas (or others story lines/content), to learn how to give them more depth, through referencing, experimentation and research.

Next year, I'll be working on my bachelor project, in which I plan on self-publishing my own short graphic novel/comic book, which I'd like to pitch to a publisher at the end. I've partly chosen this internship because I see it as the perfect opportunity to prepare me for it.

As part of that objective, I'm looking forward to learn about the different aspect of the industry, have some guidance and feedback from a professional in the field regarding my own projects and the skillsets needs to succeed as a comic artist.
My longterm goal is to be able to work as an autonomous artist and self-publisher, while keeping different aspects of freelance work.

I find self-publishing and the idea of running my own small business/shop with a mixture of comics and illustrations the most appealing to me.
